Notes:

If there are no birth dates, the following assumption was made: when married, the man was at least 21 and the woman 16. Sometimes the wife's birth year range is calculated from youngest and eldest as youngest = age 46, youngest = age 18. These are rough, yes, but they put you in a reasonable "ball park."

Likewise, men are assumed to be at least 16 when they began military service. Men listed as head of household are assumed to have been born before 1769 *unless* evidence to contrary (as a widow listing a male child under 16 as head of household).
