Likewise, advertisements based on Op Art were dizzyingly distracting. The design from the 1968 Olympics was by Lance Wyman and based, in part, on optical art as well as indigenous Huichal. Wyman has referred to it as \u201c60s op-art kinetic typography\u201d (Walker Art Center).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/cherylmorris.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/logoMexico1968.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-257 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/cherylmorris.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/logoMexico1968-300x225.jpeg\" alt=\"logoMexico1968\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cherylmorris.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/logoMexico1968-300x225.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/cherylmorris.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/logoMexico1968.jpeg 638w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>And, of course, one of the founders of the movement, Victor Vasarely; beautiful color combinations in geometric settings. He studied at M\u0171hely in Hungary; it could not offer the entire Bauhaus curriculum, so specialized in graphic art and typographic design. One of the earliest attributed Op Art pieces (1937) is Vasarely&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wikiart.org\/en\/victor-vasarely\/zebra-1937\">Zebras<\/a>; the transition between realistic and Op Art is never very convincing to this writer and the connection between Op Art and more commercial design was not complete.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/cherylmorris.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/tumblr_ne4o4lOXaX1rlaql2o5_1280.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-259 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/cherylmorris.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/tumblr_ne4o4lOXaX1rlaql2o5_1280-297x300.jpg\" alt=\"tumblr_ne4o4lOXaX1rlaql2o5_1280\" width=\"297\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cherylmorris.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/tumblr_ne4o4lOXaX1rlaql2o5_1280-297x300.jpg 297w, https:\/\/cherylmorris.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/tumblr_ne4o4lOXaX1rlaql2o5_1280-768x775.jpg 768w, https:\/\/cherylmorris.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/tumblr_ne4o4lOXaX1rlaql2o5_1280-1014x1024.jpg 1014w, https:\/\/cherylmorris.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/tumblr_ne4o4lOXaX1rlaql2o5_1280.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 297px) 100vw, 297px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nOp Art did pervade interior design, clothing, and advertising until with vibrating eyeballs we retreated.
